A study of light, water and the fleeting moments that exist between the two.
Soft layers of blue, turquoise and blush move across the surface, dissolving into one another like sunlight shifting over water. Loose, instinctive brushstrokes create a sense of movement, while small flashes of colour appear and disappear beneath the surface.
Rather than describing a particular place, the painting holds onto the feeling of being near water. The changing light, the quiet movement, and that moment when everything seems to soften and slow.
Painted freely and intuitively, it sits somewhere between landscape and abstraction, allowing the image to shift the longer you look.
